German A2.1 – Now you become really independent!

You can already give directions? Then things are getting exciting! You already master A1? Then A2.1 is the level where you really start speaking freely and understanding longer texts.

Imagine – after 8–12 weeks you can already…

Tell about past experiences: „Letzten Sommer war ich in Berlin und habe…“
Express plans and intentions: „Nächstes Jahr möchte ich Deutsch lernen / nach Deutschland ziehen.“
Describe people and places in detail: „Meine beste Freundin ist sehr nett und lustig.“
Make phone calls & arrange appointments: „Können Sie mir einen Termin geben?“
Express simple opinions: „Ich finde das interessant / langweilig / wichtig.“
Read and understand short texts (ads, emails, simple articles)

Enough for many everyday situations – you’re already quite independent!

What do we do in the course?

Work, professions & everyday life on the job
Vacation, travel & telling about experiences
Health, doctor visits & body
Living, environment & first future visions

Grammar light: Perfekt (regular + irregular), Präteritum basics, modal verbs in Präteritum, dative, prepositions with dative/accusative, comparative/superlative, conjunctions (weil, dass, wenn). Only what you really need – approx. 1400–1700 words total (~500 new)!

How we learn

Lots of free speaking & discussions in small groups. Authentic listening & reading texts. Longer role-plays. Writing short texts. Hueber app + online exercises for home.
